Mark Lamster is the architecture critic of the Dallas Morning News and the winner of the 2026 Pulitzer Prize for Criticism. He is both a Loeb fellow of the Harvard Graduate School of Design and a fellow of the Dallas Institute of Humanities and Culture at SMU. In 2021 he was awarded the $50,000 Rabikin Prize for arts journalism. His biography of the late architect Philip Johnson, The Man in the Glass House (Little Brown), was a finalist for the 2018 National Book Critics Circle Award for Biography. His next book, Welcome to Paradox City, will be published by Deep Vellum in 2026.
